     As per our agrement, ARL has completed two more tests to measure the attenuation of blast by Firexx panels. The result of these shorts have been combined with results of the earlier tests and are shown in the atteched tables. In all of the tests, a sphere of pentolite or composition B explosive weighing approximately 20 kg (45 pounds) was detonated at a distance of 3.048 meters from a panel. Under these conditions, for PENT, the incident pressure (at 3.048 meters ) is 8 bar and the reflected pressure (assuming a rlgig surface) is 44 bar. For Composition B, the inciding pressure is 7.5 bar and the reflected pressure is 37.5 bar. The impulse delivered by the two charges is nearly the same. 
     Table 1 shows the results of the tests that we are caling Force/Impulse Tests. These tests measured the ability of a 102mm (4 inch) thick and a 204 mm (8 inch) thick Firexx panel to mitigate the transmitted impulse when the Firexx panel is in direct contact with another structure. For these tests, the Firexx panel was in direct contact with a sturdy anvil plate. The force and impulse transmitted to the anvil  plate were measured with and without the presence of the Firexx panel. Under these conditions, the 102 mm (4 inch) thick Firex panel reduced the maximum transmitted force by about 24% and the transmitted impulse by 8%. The 203 mm (8 inch) panel reduced the maximum force by 65% and the impulse by 52%.  
          Table 2 shows the results of the tests we have called the Bleed-through Tests. These tests measured the ability of a (5 inch) and a 203 mm (8 inch) thick Firexx panel to prevent
